Contracts

You want to reach agreements with others that are mutually advantageous, but that primarily protect your interests.  You want both you and the other party to understand the contract you are entering, but primarily you want to understand it., especially how it will affect you and your business.  

I can assist you by drafting a contract for you, or reviewing a contract that you have prepared, or someone else presents you with.  I can explain the advantages and disadvantages of particular provisions in a contract and suggest other language to achieve your ends.  If you want, I can negotiate the entire contract on your behalf with the other side to it, or negotiate certain provisions or language.

I look at contracts as primarily a planning device.  Through a contract, you can plan ahead to deal with problems that may arise, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, and arrange your affairs with someone else you do business with so your business relationship can flow smoothly rather than hung up on the snags that can arise in business.
